1o Peiramatiko GEL Thessalonikis “Manolis Andronikos” (1st Experimental Upper High School of Thessaloniki „ Manolis Andronikos”) is located in Thessaloniki, the co-capital of Greece, in the north of the country. The school employs 20 high qualified teachers, who have been selected after a special evaluation process and offers general education to 162 students according to the Greek law for Upper Secondary Education (Lyceio) . It also offers "clubs of interests and excellence", where students from other schools are accepted, too. (For instance Music Club, Theater club, Math/ mathematical puzzles club, Physics/ Creative experiments club, Creative writing club, Club of Archaeology etc). It also organizes Competitions (Mathematical puzzles competition, Creative writing competition, Social Science Competition) or takes part in others. It organizes conferences open to the educational community in Thessaloníki or in northern Greece as well. The school is connected to certain faculties of Aristotle University of Thessaloníki.
